This in turn requires a transformation of the technology group from 5 technology centers operating independently, to a matrix global.

Key Purpose

To lead and develop all of our clients software globally with overall responsibility for 80 core development staff in all the global offices.  The Global Head of Development will ensure all development processes and outputs are of the highest quality, delivered to time, budget and specification and reduce multiple developments of similar software applications.

The Role

•	Lead, motivate and manage the global development function of 80 people ensuring each key team member is making a positive contribution 
•	Lead and develop the capability of the technology group selling ideas to both the teams, and to the business leaders.
•	Ensure capability and the organisation design of the development team supports the ongoing objectives of the companies´ core business. 
•	The role will include continued progress of an agile and more innovative way of working, dispute resolution, guidance and coaching the development groups.  
•	Oversee all development activities and work with product management and provide significant input to product definition. 
•	Work with the technical board on the R&D architecture, roadmap and new applications so that there is no multiple development of one product or application.

Providing additional people management responsibilities including floor walking, participating in the monthly All Staff meeting and coaching and mentoring of individual employees.•Managing Customer Relations - Dealing with high level escalations (including legal disputes) as well as with retailers indirectly via our global sales offices; coordinating the process of handling 4 million customer contacts annually using IT systems, planning, and process improvement; liaising with internal departments such as Sales and Product Management on developments which affect the customer support activities.•Administration & Reporting Management - Monitoring realized service levels; analyzing performance results and opportunities for improvement whilst communicating these to the appropriate stakeholders; managing and reporting on cost and headcount within approved budgets and making adjustments where necessary.•Strategy and Policy Development - Creating long term strategies for customer support whilst identifying opportunities for improvements in work processes, systems and tools.•Recruitment and Selection - Managing the staffing needs through recruitment activities with HR as well as playing an active role in managing the relationship with our 3rd party recruitment provider. 
Your profile:
 
•Minimum HBO education level or equivalent•Minimum 5 – 10 years previous experience in a similar role is required•Previous experience in a Contact Centre environment is required•Previous people management experience of managing both direct & indirect reports on a large scale is required (managing at least 100+ FTEs)•Sales & Marketing background is an advantage•Excellent command of English (company language) both written & spoken is required.
